Bella Golf Packages

The team at Bella Palazzo has developed some exclusive packages to make your stay at one of our villas even more memorable and pleasurable. We are constantly looking for new and innovative programs, and then putting our signature on to make it even better. For our 2006/2007 High season, we have assembled the following:

Golf, Cigars, and Poker

There is no doubt that Scottsdale has shed its sleepy cow-town image of the 1950's. In that era, if you were coming to Scottsdale, you were looking for rest and relaxation, a cowboy steak, a little time by the pool, and maybe a rodeo. My how things have changed!

If you play golf, you are certainly aware of Scottsdale's status amongst the great golf communities of the world. Throughout the United States there are beautiful courses of all different types, most of which are traditional rolling green gems with wide fairways and strategically placed bunkers waiting to swallow your ball. In Scottsdale, though there are still some of those traditional courses, we have become famous for our desert layouts. Only here and in Palm Springs, can you find such a variety of top notch courses dedicated to coexist with cacti and coyotes. Lest you think a desert course isn't challenging, we await your response after your first round! It also seems that casual golf and cigars are a relationship worth enjoying, and put all of this together with a hot round of poker to occupy an evening! The following package includes five rounds of golf, with specially selected cigar packages, and a professional dealer led evening of poker.

Troon North Golf Club Monument
Troon North Golf Club Pinnacle

(1 round at each course)

If you happen to be staying at our Pinnacle Canyon estate, you will find yourself right alongside the Pinnacle course.
The Monument Course and the Pinnacle Course are two of Arizona's top ranked courses. One drive around either of them will convince you why. Stunning views of Pinnacle Peak, arroyos, rock outcroppings and cacti spice the play at the TomWeiskopf/Jay Morrish- designed Monument course, which features a series of memorable holes. Standouts include the par-5 third with its monumental boulder dominating the fairway and the par-5 14th called Cross Country for reasons that will become all too obvious.

The Pinnacle course marches right up to the base of Pinnacle Peak; a geographic legend in this area, and still home to Pinnacle Peak Patio Steak House, and the not to be missed Greasewood Flats.

Grayhawk Golf Club Talon
Grayhawk Golf Club Raptor

(1 round at each course)
Rated by Golf Magazine as one of the top 10 courses you can play the Talon offers up challenges like #11's Swinging Bridge, and the aptly named Devils Drink on #17. Talon plays host to the finals of the Anderson Consulting World Championship of Golf.

The Tom Fazio designed Raptor course plays a long 7,108 yards off the back tees, and will delight you with Aces and Eights, and #10's Quill Creek.

Two of the most popular, centrally located, special occasion courses in Scottsdale. All the bells and whistles are at this Graham/Panks and Tom Fazio's designed courses

We-Ko-Pa Golf Club Cholla (1 round)
A Scott Miller design

East of Scottsdale lies what has been lauded since its inception in 2001 as one of the top courses in Arizona. Honors such as the Zagat rating as the top public golf course in Arizona, and rated #2 by Golfweek, along with a #38 rating by Golfweek in the top 100 you can play. We ko pa (Yavapai for four peaks) continues to improve and expand. The Cholla course is unique in that there will never be any development adjacent, and there is no out of bounds. Playing 7,225 yards, this desert course is an unspoiled treat. Late 2006 will bring a sister course known as Saguaro, which is designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.

In-Villa Poker Night

Personal chef for alfresco dining, and professional poker dealer Golf is definitely on a hot streak, with more and more great courses being offered, top-notch golf schools, and cutting edge equipment. But all golf and no games could get a little tedious, and hard on the psyche. A duffer just has to have other releases! So why not capitalize on yet another hot item: poker! We will bring in a poker table, and professional dealer, as well as a professional chef to take care of the nutritional side. What's better than golf all day, and poker all night, with great food, and cigars as well! Many options are available to fine-tune this evening to make it the most enjoyable possible. Contact us for options regarding the menu for the evening.

Cooking Class:
Many of us would like to think we are capable of holding our own in the kitchen, even if that just means the very basics. Many of us would also like to know much more about preparing foods, but we allow ourselves to be intimidated. When it comes to putting together a multi-course meal, we simply go into a panic. With a world-class repertoire of private chef options, you may chose Chef Michael DeMaria, Chef Doug Brochu, or Grill Maestro Craiger Van Zee as your host for this educational and inspirational how-to. Whether you are preparing foods indoors or outdoors on a grill, paying attention to a few simple basics, and using your common sense will yield better results than you might think. With many families opting to stay home and take advantage of the amazing play-spaces that we are putting in our backyards, someone in the family needs to get up to speed culinary-wise. Learn how to incorporate the fabulous foods and flavors of the Mediterranean Rim countries. Healthy, vibrant, and simple!

Painting in a Mediterranean Garden:
How much of Monets success was due to his true talent, and how much of it was due to the inspiration he gained from painting in such magical settings. If you have seen an image of Monets private gardens in Giverny, France, you might be convinced that the settings had a lot to do with it. Join nationally recognized artist, Charles Kurre in any one of a collection of fabulous gardens right here in The Valley of the Sun, and discover how to use your eyes to see light and texture the way Monet might have. You will spend a couple of hours in a magical private garden surrounded by the sights and scents that inspire greatness. Charles will work with watercolors and at the end of the session you will walk away with your own piece of art suitable for framing. The accolades keep coming. I must admit that at first I was very intimidated. I have never done anything like this, and there was an authentic Picasso staring down at me, and all this talk about Monets Garden? I enjoyed myself so much that time flew by, and the next thing I knew, I had a framed painting of my own to take home. I would do this again!

Two programs to choose from:

  1. The lesson and all the materials: watercolors, pastels, or acrylic color, 4 sheets of 11" x 15" - 140lb cold press watercolor paper, palette, three brushes, painters smock, and a paper folio to safely transport the work home. (Of course we can tailor materials to any project)
  2. The painting program can be offered for a group up to 22p, utilizing the painters materials and going home with one 11 X 15 painting in a paper folio.

City tours:
Phoenix is a beautiful oasis with a very rich history that dates back to the Native American peoples that developed this area. While the civilized occupation of The Valley of the Sun only dates back to the late 1800's the true development of Phoenix coincides with the advent of Air Conditioning. Since that time, Phoenix has become one of the most dynamic areas in the country. Drawing from cultures worldwide Phoenix has developed its own identity that is in the truest sense a melting pot. Architecture, design, and landscaping all have roots in the very people that have visited here and then decided to stay, and bringing with them a little piece of their own culture. The fine arts, once considered an afterthought in this cow-town have made such great strides as to draw attention from all of the detractors. Join a long-time resident and hopeless lover of the desert as your group tours the amazing Valley. You will experience the rich history, and the spectacular future. Combine a city tour with tours of a couple of Bella Palazzo private estates. Led by knowledgeable docents it is the perfect compliment to the city tour, and your tour-guide can accompany you from house to house!

Home tours:
A delightful time awaits your spousal clients as groups of 20 to 120 take tours of fabulous Valley estates. Whether your group is small and tours several homes in succession, or if it is larger and requires splitting up, each group will be treated to an in-depth docent led look into some of the most exciting and progressive architecture and design. Bella Palazzo homes run the gamut from a historic estate in The Phoenix Country Club to authentic Southwestern Adobes, to ultra-modern Bauhaus design. At each home a knowledgeable and courteous docent will lead your groups on a tour, highlighting the background of the area, the thought put into the design, the professionals brought on to execute the vision, and the finishing touches incorporated to complete the overall look. Questions will be answered and everyone goes away with not only a new view on the Phoenix lifestyle, but ideas of what to do in their own home as well.

Show houses and Showrooms:
